Course Objective:Students will explore and develop a knowledge base for the repeated patterns that exist in the classical mythology of ancient Greece and Rome as they compare those cultures to their own, building a global acceptance of other cultures. Studying mythology will heighten students' understanding of language & history, will increase their appreciation of literature & art by building a knowledge base of mythological allusions, and will help students think analytically about modern culture by analyzing the traces that ancient societies have left behind. Oklahoma E/LA Academic Standards will be incorporated into each unit.

Grading Procedures:Grades will be converted into a percentage according to the total number of points earned and the categories' weight. Categories include:
